Downlands is accredited within the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and is an committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment in order to protect our staff and the interests of the general public.
We hold records of, and carry out:
- Health and Safety Policy.
- ‘Generic Risk Assessment’ is used to create our ‘Safe Systems of Work’.
- ‘Onsite Risk Assessments’ to identify and reduce risks so far that is reasonably practicable.
- Downlands is able to provide you with a ‘Method Statement’.
- Our staff hold the relevant National Proficiency Tests Council (NPTC) certificates for operations carried out by Downlands Tree Surgery.
Downlands Tree Surgery holds records of, and acknowledges:
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002)
- PUWER (Provisions and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998)
- LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998)
- NAW (Noise at Work Regulations 1989)
- HAV (Hand and Arm Vibration)
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992)
- WAHR (Working at Height Regulations 2005)
Insurance
- Downlands has Public Liability insurance to £5,000,000 and Employers Liability to £10,000,000. Please ask for a copy of our policy.
