Downlands Tree Surgery is fully aware of its responsibilities not only to you, but also the environment.

We are fully committed to reducing and minimising our potential impact on the environment through work-related operations and management of the company.

We pledge to:

• recycle waste produced by the company’s operations such as woodchip for garden mulch and timber for firewood or timber products;
• use bio-chain oils in compatible chainsaws;
• promote environmental awareness among the company’s staff relating to work activities through training and education;
• reduce paper records through electronic means;
• avoid the unnecessary use of hazardous liquids and materials, using suitable alternatives where feasible;
• comply with wildlife legislation to avoid the disturbance or destruction of wildlife and its habitat;
• further improve our environmental performance by the continual review of our operations and environmental policy.
